Every trip on the desk, ordered by what it costs

Twenty nine departures in one table, any of which this desk will reserve

This is the whole catalogue on one page, ordered by figure. Twenty nine departures, from $1,485 to $6,880 for one person with two sharing, each with its country, its length, its season and the share the operating company asks for when the reservation is made.

Reserve a departureRequests are taken every hour of every day and a person writes back inside one business day.

Above: The summer pastures, Kyrgyzstan, Kyrgyzstan, on the $2,875 rung.

Nothing is hidden behind a filter. The table below is the desk in full, and every line on it carries fixed departures rather than a rolling window you could slide anywhere in the year.

Figures are per person with two of you sharing a room. The mark in the last column is the share the operating company asks for when the reservation is made; two squares apart is a tenth, two squares almost on top of one another is the whole of it.

Reading the last column

The mark in the final column says how much of the figure the operating company wants when the reservation goes in. Two squares standing apart means a tenth. Two squares almost on top of one another means the whole of it, which happens on a small number of departures where the operator is committing beds a year ahead in a place with none to spare.

That share matters more than most people expect, because it decides how exposed you are if plans change. The relevant terms are on each departure's own page and in the note on leaving a reservation early.

Why the table is sorted by figure

Sorting by country would put Latvia next to Laos for no better reason than the alphabet. Sorting by month would break every trip that runs across a season boundary.

Sorting by figure puts the four departures that cost the same next to one another, which is the one comparison this desk thinks is worth making, and it makes the shape of the catalogue visible at a glance: crowded in the middle, thin at both ends, exactly as the world is.

Start from the figure you actually have

Requests are taken every hour of every day. A person reads what this collects and writes back inside one business day. Money never changes hands here, and this office holds no card details of yours at any stage.
